It is with deep regret and sadness that LVRS announces the sudden passing today of John Albert Eugene Nicholson, Jr., (Little Nick). Life member of the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department.
Rescue Engine 49 and Chief 49 on scene for the two vehicle collision with entrapment on 95 SB. One patient extricated and transported to an area trauma center.

E849 was dispatched mutual aid to Howard county for an townhouse fire. On arrival, E61 advised smoke showing from the top floor. Command assigned E849 to backup E61 on the fire floor, which was quickly extinguished.
