At approximately 7 AM, Engine 849 was dispatched to the 500 block of Main Street to respond to an outside fire. Upon arrival, the crew learned that a propane tank had exploded at a vendor’s booth during the Main Street Festival. Laurel Police reported that one individual sustained severe second-degree burns, prompting the immediate response of Ambulance 849C to the scene. The EMS crew provided on-scene treatment to the patient before transporting them to a local burn center for further care. Meanwhile, the engine crew successfully extinguished the fire. Fortunately, there were no other injuries reported.
