LVRS Members Learn About Pet CPR

Members of Co. 49 spent the afternoon learning about Pet CPR and first aid at Co. 10. If your dog is large, roll them on their right side and put your hand under their left armpit for compression’s and place your free hand under their ribs to pad the void. If you have a smaller dog, you can rest them on their back and do a more traditional style of compression’s. For cats, you need to fold your hand into a taco/sock puppet and compress their rib cage.

When in doubt, the Red Cross offers a free Pet First Aid app you can download in case of emergencies.
