Ambulance 849C arrived on location to find a 1.5-story single-family dwelling with smoke showing. While enroute back to quarters from a previous Street Alarm, Engine 849 was alerted to respond as the working fire engine. Engine 849 arrived moments later and assumed second responsibilities. The crew from Engine 849 assisted with extinguishing the fire and overhauls. Crews on the scene operated for approximately 2.5 hours before returning to service.
