At 2035hrs, Engine 849 was alerted to respond to the 700 block of Lexington Ave for a reported structure fire. While en route, PSC advised responding units that the call reported a fire from the 2nd floor. Engine 849 arrived to find a two-story single-family house with fire from the second floor. Engine 849 made entry and found excessive storage throughout the structure. Engine 849 worked to extinguish a fire located in an upstairs bedroom. Companies operating located and removed one victim who was transported to a local hospital. Units operated for approximately 3 hours before returning to service.
