At 1403 hours PSC received a call for a reported house fire in the 7700 block of Lexington Ave. Engine 849 and Ambulance 849B arrived on location to find a two-story single-family dwelling with fire showing from the solar panels on the roof. Crews stretch a line to the second floor to check for extension into the home. No visible fire was located in the attic, and it was determined that all fire was contained to the solar panels on the roof. Truck 831 secured the power to the structure and solar panels. Engine 849 extinguished all visible fire. All searches were negative, and no injuries were reported. Crews operated for approximately 1.5 hours before returning to service.
