Engine 849 was dispatched as the first-due engine to the 8800 block of Hawthorne Lane for reports of an apartment fire. On arrival, crews found fire showing from the Charlie side of the building. A 400-foot attack line was deployed and advanced to the fire floor.

Command arrived shortly after and requested a second alarm, bringing additional units to the scene. Crews operated for approximately four hours before returning to service.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
