On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Impact One Church Annual Back to School Drive. Members of the squad engaged with prospective volunteers, highlighting various ways to give back to the community.
Additionally, we had the pleasure of meeting student representatives from Bowie State University’s Child & Adolescent Studies Association. They provided valuable insights about their program. Members showcased a vehicle extrication demonstration, which educated attendees about the critical skills needed in emergency situations, as well as conducted blood pressure screenings for everyone who attended.
We sincerely thank Pastor Wilder and his team for organizing the event and for bringing the community together to support our students as they prepare for the new school year. We look forward to future collaborations!
