On Saturday, February 21st, Engine 849 was dispatched as the 4th Due Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) to the 8000 block of Zug Road in Bowie.

While en route, initial arriving units reported a two-story single-family home with heavy fire showing from Side Charlie. Engine 849 staged on Side Alpha and stood by in a dedicated RIT assignment, ready to deploy if needed to support interior crews.

Our members remained on scene for approximately two hours as suppression operations continued before returning to service.
